Things to Do

Our Favorite Restaurants

We love the Washington D.C food scene! If you have time for more meals, here are some of our favorite places: Le Diplomate, Ted's Bulletin, Federalist Pig, Rasika, and China Chilcano.

Georgetown University

Spend time at our alma matter, Georgetown University. Some of our favorite spots on campus include: Tombs (look for Katie's name on the 2019 plaque as a proud member of the 99 Days Club), McDonough School of Business, Wisemiller's Grocery & Deli, Healey Family Student Center, Cooper Field, and the Book Store located in Regents Hall.

M Street

Stroll the countless eateries, stores, and boutiques on M Street and Wisconsin Ave outside Georgetown's front gates! Some highlights for food include: Georgetown Waterfront, South Block, El Centro, Baked and Wired (not Georgetown Cupcakes!), Martin's Tavern, Call Your Mother, and Thomas Sweet.

Smithsonian Museums & the National Zoo

The Smithsonian is home to many museums and the National Zoo. We recommend the National Air and Space Museum, National Museum of the American Indian, National Museum of African American History and Culture, and the National Portrait Gallery. Look into purchasing tickets to make your visit easier.

Visit the famous monuments across Washington, D.C. including the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, World War II Memorial, and many more.

Old Town Alexandria & Mount Vernon

Staying in the Virginia area? Take a trip to visit George Washington's estate at Mount Vernon. Tour the mansion, the gardens, and enjoy the museum. Experience the Old Town Alexandria waterfront and historic scenes of our early nation.
